family Values
Our farm is very big on family values. Each of our 3 children are included in the daily chores and keeping it family oriented.
We are happy to be able to provide organic eggs and fresh sourdough bread to many families.
Eggs
Our eggs range from Emu, Turkey and chickens. We want our customers to have options with what eggs they would like to buy from us. They are all pasture raised and organic with no antibiotics.
Emu Egg Facts:
- A medium sized emu egg weigh about 1lb 4oz (565g)
- One emu egg is equivalent to about 8 to 12 chicken eggs.
- The yolks are pale yellow.
- They have a mild yet tasty flavor.
- Emu eggs are very good for baking.
- They can be scrambled, fried, hard boiled and used in omelettes
- In the shell, they keep 2 months in the refrigerator.
- They can be stored in the freezer for up to 1 year.
Our Emus eggs are seasonal
- Female Emus often lay more than one clutch of between 5 and 20 eggs, but 8 to 10 is around the average. In one breeding season, a female might lay three clutches or as many as 50 eggs in total.
